JOB OPPORTUNITY: Media Accounts Executive

We are on the lookout for two (2) vibrant and passionate account executives to join us. In this role, it will be up to you to meet client needs and expectations while ensuring your internal teams are prepared to execute accordingly. Like all sales-related roles, it’s extremely high pressure, and you will need to deliver results.

This is a mid-level position 
Education: Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field
Travel: Occasionally (must have a valid Driver’s License)
Salary: Market related, negotiable

Requirements

  • 4 + years sales experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Print, Radio, TV, Out of Home,  Digital or online advertising industry experience preferred

Technical / Specific experience

  • Digital Expert who stays abreast of digital and market trends
  • Understand analytics and software packages
  • Understanding of social media engagement strategies and content creation
  • Understanding of interactive strategy.
  • Understanding of brand strategy and deployment
  • Experience working on global brands and Government Departments
  • Understanding of CMS systems and email marketing

Major Responsibilities & Duties

  • Acquisition of new client accounts
  • Retention and growth of existing accounts
  • Campaign management
  • Coordinating and managing the activities necessary to meet the needs of assigned projects. This may include the following:
    • handle assigned work requests in an efficient and timely manner
    • monitoring budget, research and similar items
    • maintain communications between internal and client personnel to ensure that assigned work is handled in a positive, timely and efficient manner
    • recognise client needs and relate these to work plans
    • identify and anticipate potential problems and identify alternative solutions
    • recognise and accommodate constraints placed on projects by internal resources as well as by the client
  • Planning, analysing and evaluating information and output relevant to assigned client projects and needs. This may include the following:
    • develop workable budgets and plans
    • preparation of recommendations, marketing strategies and actions for the client.
    • reviewing, analysing material relative to client needs — media results, research data, etc
    • ability to work with and manage multi-disciplinary teams i.e. brand, research, technical, etc
  • Using logical judgement in coming to solutions for problems which arise; and having the ability to generate alternative solutions:
    • make realistic/workable commitments
    • recommend sound solutions and ideas
    • balance the needs of the client with those of Flint Studio
    • head off potential conflicts and problems before they materialise
    • compromise when necessary to resolve an impasse
    • write briefs with detailed functionality specifications (i.e. wireframing)
    • brief and manage creative teams, and understand all processes and platforms
    • ensure customers are fully briefed and kept up-to-date with all digital marketing opportunities to reflect their business
    • responsible for the quality of service and delivery of all integrated campaigns across all channels including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc
    • responsible for on-line PR strategies and content where required
